Shadows In The Night Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Shadows In The Night

Rating: 4.8

I was dreaming
that I had died
I was following
the shadows in the night

They took me
to a bright light
where I saw my mothers eyes

Then I saw
my daughters eyes in my mind
and knew I could not leave
my world behind

I forced my mind
to pull me back,
Back to open my eyes
in a world I belong

Yes, thinking about those we love, especially children, that would bring us back for sure.

Interesting dream, one wonders what goes on in one's subconscious amidst the daily life.
