Shadows Don't Lie Poem by Walterrean Salley

Shadows Don't Lie

Rating: 5.0

One day
While standing
In the doorway,
Suddenly, she
Noticed her shadow
On the wall
And was surprised.
It was shaped
True to form.
Shadows don't lie.

We are oblivious of who the world see's when we present ourselves at times if we are not careful. So many times we think we are fooling everyone and truth is we are the only ones who have been fools. We can hide who we truly are from ourselves much easier than we can hide from those who are continually in the presence of our character. If we walk in the light we will cast a shadow and our true selves will be seen by the world. This is a good poem.I find it amazing how many poems you have written. Hope you are doing well. It has been a while since the last time I was on this site. Keep up the good work!

Aloha Walterrean... Calming little Southern bit-o-bliss is this... thank you for sharing such a truth... I must run out now, to catch my truth before the entire world realizes it is really me! All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two.
