Shadows And Whisphers Poem by venessa ambrose

Shadows And Whisphers

They are behind me
All of them
Men with no image
Groups with no face
Cabals lacking profile
Hiding behind me
Playing forceful rhythms
Of stern mandate
Enforcing laws
With sheer blackmail
Well hidden with shadows
With the only prove
Of their existence
As faint whispers
Am their lamb
Obedient to directives
Ever gentle
Ever listening
Awaiting the message
I am faced in no side
The both side of the coin
Deny me at sight
My followers mourn
The passage of a great one
Cos am no longer one
In confusion
The search of the other
I must begin
Welcomed by denial
I look to no other
My blood and pain
Must pass away
like many before me
A sacrificial lamb
Haunted by
Shadows and Whispers
