Shadows Poem by Osvaldo Govea

Shadows

Rating: 4.8

God, guide me through the Valley of the Shadows of Death,
For I know no love, nor what is best.
I feel a sharp pain deep inside my chest,
Is it my love about to fold,
Or is it just my heart growing cold.
I keep falling into the darkness.
I can't stop falling I have no harness.
My world is dead and black.
I'm surrounded by dark shadows back to back.
I wish they would stop and attack,
And finish my life.
Before my veins feel the blade of this knife.
God, guide me through the Valley of the Shadows of Death,
For I know no love, nor what is best.

The fact that you are asking God for help, shows that you still believe there is hope. Trust in that help.
