****shadowplay!
SHADOWPLAY!
My shadow gave me company, -
Through the entire light of day;
To leave me all by myself, -
When daylight slowly melted away!
I lay lonely and forsaken, -
Buried deep in my thoughts;
My shadowy self had merged with me, -
That truth which I had forgot!
But one day when I shall depart,
Out of the darkness to that lighted boulevard,
My shadow shall re-emerge once more, -
As my true companion as before!
