Shadow Tomb Poem by Frank Caldone

Shadow Tomb

Sitting in eternal shadows
I stare at the world
Longing for a normal happy life
Pondering why am I cursed to eternal sorrow
Thoughts of suicide race though my head
But there is hope
Hope that she will life my curse
Free me from my shadowy prison
A prison that will one day become my tomb
A morbid tomb that I can only see the world
but never interacting with others
Just wishing that she will come back
Come back and set me free
Free in this happy new world
Free to spread my wings and soar
My fate is in her hands
I can only pray that she sets me free
Free from my shadow
