Shades Of Gray Poem by David Lovell

Shades Of Gray

Rating: 4.5

The sky above is pallid shades of gray
Just like it has been for days and days
When will this break, when will the light return?

The heart inside me is pallid shades of gray
Just like it has been for days and days
When will this break, when will the light return?

Take heart and stand strong, dear friend
For the dark and cold must give way to the bright sun
Take heart and stand strong, dear friend
The clouds shall break and the light burst through again

Stand strong and take heart, dear friend
For the Lord knows the suffering of every heart
Stand strong and take heart, dear friend
The Lord rewards the faithful, from your side He shall not depart

Dark clouds cannot stay for but a spell
And nothing may stop the mercy of the Lord, this you know well
