Shade That Giant Looms Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Shade That Giant Looms

Higher than human height by far
Yet have chains tied for your legs

How creak and clang the chains
Your feet move, Shade that moves
And the chains remain tied and tight.

The centuries pass
The centuries pass
Yet despite, the chains remain
Remain tied to the legs of the Shade.
