Seventeen Thoughts, A Lifetime Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Seventeen Thoughts, A Lifetime

Maybe its now,
Maybe in a past life, or one to come,
I've thought of your touch,
Many a time, a simple morsal to feed the thoughts that deeply hunger for you,
The beauty of anothers company,
What it can bring,
I don't believe im that selfish,
Alone in a thought with you,
Nah, couldn't be,
The nights spent alone dreaming in a glass bottle,
Hoping somehow you'd just appear, as the ripples that caress the oceans when need becomes urgent,
Crashing into each other, as the world around them just remains,
Eyes wide awake,
Thats the difference between dreams and reality,
I guess,
Are my eyes closed, now, were they really ever,
Am I really awake without knowing,
A constant insonmia waiting for the door to open by your hand,
Unconsciously living a reality dreamt with you here,
Not aware of the balance time presents, a course of events that lead or led to the implosion of fuses that make you think or feel a certain way,
There are things you need to know,
That optimistic feeling that awakes the butterflies that lay arest in my stomach each time certain songs are played,
Replayed, then replayed,
Over and over again,
Eyes closed,
No bearence of time, place in history,
A morsal to feed the thoughts that hunger for the purpose you belong to me,
Maybe in a past life,
Or one to come,
An emancipation to the heights felt when your lips touch mine,
