Set Me Free Poem by Michael Olakunle Adesanya

Set Me Free

Every time I peeped out of my window
all I see was the world that passed me by
as it rain cat and dog in April
while Peter and Paul dances in the rain

I think about the life we live
working fourteen hours per day
planning to make ends meet
standing by the barricade I pounded, why?

My lady is miles away
only the memories of your voice rings deed down in me
as we sat and call like friend without faces
loving each other without seeing.
