Set A Date Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Set A Date

I liked rising sun
You were on run
I preferred east
You went on for west

Exactly opposite
Meant never to unite
Temperamentally different
"As one" we never felt

Yet we loved
And believed
In certain things
He was still my king

You should never kill
But walk of own will
You may love a person?
But never compromise with true reasons

So we decided to part
And set a date to depart
From each other's life journey
I thanked the wish of almighty

We were saved from future agony
Else it was to be cause of worry
We loved but failed to realize each other
It was sad but settled with smooth offer
