Serenity Poem by Kanishk Gupta

Serenity

Rating: 5.0

Lying at the top, in the dead of the night,
Admiring life, and beholding the sight,
Gazing above, beyond the sparkling low sky,
Envying the stars, floating so high.

The warriors of above, taking their flight,
And those of the land, bathing in the light,
Eluding the orb, with a passion so pure,
That all in its way, lusted for the cure.

The howling wind, concealing some crime,
The rustling leaves, battling against time,
The hovering moon, behind the silver line,
Welcoming the spirits, and raising mine.

Compelled to return, to abandon my glee,
They were calling out my name, preying for me,
But in those moments, nearing eternity,
I was lost forever, in its serenity.
