Separated Souls Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Separated Souls

Caught by her mother, she buried our love.
On getting married, she forgot our love.
After a long pause, when I invaded,
She discouraged my appearances.
Having lost her spouse, she didn’t change her stand.
Despite lonely living of her end days,
She wants no trace of my contacts to stay.
She values her reputation with her children.
In case she precedes me I shall see off her.
In case I precede her, our friend will tell her.
