Separated Poem by Matlapa Maphologela

Separated

It was painful to me and all pleasure to you, situations placed us in different parts of living structure.

I was hurting to the core, happiness and money was all you cared for. Surrounded yourself with glamour and temporary fantasy, I was there inside reality surviving day by day.

The day left you all alone with yourself at night, loneliness knock at your heart. I did the doing on my side and most I managed to get done.

Many more asked about us, you left it unsaid by making up lying stories yet the truth was it is me and you no longer we. #Poet Matlapa Maphologela
