Sentinel Poem by Shirley Houston

Sentinel

Adualtion's esurient eye/
anticipates the chosen/
Rani/
as she moves in polychromatic effulgence/
effortlessly/
her/
nimbus is radiant/
indicative/
of an authenticated birthright/
she IS/
the heir apparent/
the sentinel/
standing watch at the crystal gate/
where the heart's true longings/
abide/
& nurture musings/
she is the embodiment of intrepid hope/
intrepid strength/
challenging oppression/
by her sheer presence/
it/
rises up from the aphotic bowels/
of the swamp of ignorance & intolerance/
where leeches dwell/
in wicked jollity/
& encircles her glory/
sensing the delectable ichor/
coursing through her veins/
It abhors her splendor/
her haughty calm/
her unshakable faith/
in the indomitable spirit/
of a resolute soul/
it is determined/
to still her voice/
to enervate her potency/
to usurp her reign/
from the monotone prism/
of/
malicious intent/
it seeks/
her audacity/
in the face of life's/
vicissitudes/
and the liberating eos/
emanating like lightning/
from her demeanor

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The ichor of hope that intrepidly courses the unlit alleys of vein and give effulgence to the Eos diurnal jollity. Limbo, absence and numbness is indeed her sentinel, nimbus of this Rani!
