Sentenced To Death

Some read God’s word and know its true
Some eat and drink their fill
Through faith in Christ, we’re born anew
While Satan’s out to kill

Religious people live in fear
They live the life of Cain
Man censors much; of what they hear
And so the truth, restrain

Sentence of death is common use
For some who Christ would know
There’s no exception’s no excuse
For those to Christ would go

But what if man could wander free
Could choose as others do
The world would surely come to see
That Christ God’s Lamb is true

As yet, our prayers seem all in vain
To melt the calloused heart
For still the mind not free to reign
Is far from truth apart

Biblical truth in black and white
Is still yet widely banned
Yet Jesus’ Kingdom’s not in sight
But in our heart as planned

Still lands are plagued and suffer drought
Denying Jesus’ name
Most fear to ask what Christ’s about
And so they die in shame

Yet we in Christ are free to choose
That all may understand
We’ve nothing in this world to lose
When on “Life’s Rock” we stand…
