Senseless Death

Death is blind,
Death is deaf,
yet it is dumb,

Little wonder
None ever see it come.

Death is senseless
Absolutely at that.
So much so,
To the kings door
It knocks upon
From a mother's womb
It feeds thereof.

If death had a way,
Beyond Earths grip
It would stray,
Pon Heavens gate it will shake,
And the chains of hell
will get no break,
As it Searches
for a new soul to take.

Senseless
As death may seem,
Upon every soul
Still it sneaks,
And taking from any
As it wills.

Poem of the Day

poet Li Po

Amongst the flowers I
am alone with my pot of wine
drinking by myself; then lifting
my cup I asked the moon
to drink with me, its reflection
and mine in the wine cup, just
