Selophin Walls Poem by Pooja Nepal

Selophin Walls

Things happening to me, are well just because of me
glad that you took the blame, but i would prefer you let me be
Today I am lost, worn and out in the cold
tommorow I will be forever gone, from your heart and soul
All that will remain are some follies and memories crafted out of fancies...
When we for once, mistook life was fair and just..
concluded that castels could be built in air
When we for once felt love here, there and everywhere...

So foolish were we in those smitten times,
how could we forget, our destiny already engraved in our hands, , ,
Time flew and so did the feelings between us
all bonds and promises tumbling like selophin walls.

Well, as they say, what's not to be..never happens
I take it as a lesson learnt through serious mistakes
I pledge no promises, no vows and no stories anew
I will take time to nurse my wounds and pay my dues....
