Self Pity Poem by Noah Body

Self Pity

There is nothing to compare to self disgust
No way to describe the lack of self trust
Long ago you stood strong and firm and alone
Now as a weak sad sack is how you are known
Self pity is sickening, back then you had none
Now the disgusting trait has your pride undone
What you do now simply feeds the deep shame
But you have only yourself to ever blame
Stand alone and strong, or die, is the choice
Never again to self pity will you give voice
