Self-Judging, Examination Of Conscience, Perfection To Be Attained Poem by Marie J. Christopher

Self-Judging, Examination Of Conscience, Perfection To Be Attained

Turn your will facing the highest good;
Falsehood despise, aim for perfection.
God is love; therefore, love should inspire all actions;
Élans in life should so be harnessed.
Repentant sorrow in tears induces all necessary changes;
Not feeling estranged from a constant willful dedication.
Life-time devotion, perpetual endeavor should be decisively won;
Brazenly first is a sincere recognition of self deficiencies;
All beauties derived from utmost humility from which it appeases.
No more distress but soul with resolute hope marches onward;
Armored with boldness and courage,
Vestiged but rare, soul in singular solitude and apparent folly strives in life for God, for love.
Soul lives simply for the betterment of her own and of all.
Rival in detailed exactness is the perfect aim for the highest good;
Soul should always be faithful to divine grace bestowed;
Dedication focused; devotion aglow.
Billowing humility demands changes if needed;
Embedded debased nature should be eradicated
While soul is working for the most noble divine Oblate.
Breastplate and shield should be the utmost desire to please God;
Wading in life but conforming to current of Grace.
Unfazed is the realization of one's dignified destiny to serve whole human race;
Abased, soul bows to worship the Lord God in love and in service,
Making everyday purification becomes soul's rendezvous of Divine-human love.
