Self Control Poem by Khaleel Steir

Self Control

What you on my back for? What I do does not concern you.
I don't come and interrupt what you do or how you do it.
Oh, I should calm down, yet you're the one raising your voice
My patience is low right now, so back off before I let this temper go
Because once I do that, I'm not responsible for the things to come after
I'm getting real sick of your petty complaints and stepping in on my business
Like I'm getting real angry and I'm about to blow
So back off before your feelings get hurt
Though, I'll back down, stand back because I'm not like that
So I guess you're lucky I chose to change for the best
Self-Control is very key in this situation
So I'll sit back, relax, until I calm down
Because if I didn't change, you'd be real upset and I wouldn't care
