Seen the look in your eyes
I saw the disappointment
Could hear the tone in your voice
You waited for some enlightment
Then you asked why
Walked out the door
and said good bye

Demons slither from the swamp
Nightmare creatures come out of the dark
Angels die with each tear
Stairs to heaven are too bright
A life that needs some light

Wounds that scar me deep
images of you wake me from sleep
I can only cause more pain
Your tears fall likke rain
I can't help you with this
I can bring you no more bliss

Only stress and pain
Now you know why I let us dwain
