Godfrey Morris

Veteran Poet - 1,507 Points (August 1,1982 / Kingston, Jamaica)

Seek and Find

Life hides secrets to find

Seek its truths and be refined

Life's safari reveals a map

an eluded path, go fill the gap

To survive the curse of old Adam's sin

follow truth, and be cleansed a thousand times within

thus to it do trust

In safe-guard winds in it do thrust

Search for this peace and be at ease

never let rest until life cease

Seek life's truth and you will find

a glorious ever state of mind

YOU ARE A BRILLANT POET...its in sightful and touching and makes you think often what is the meaning of life, and should we dare to tell the truth, we often hide ourselfs from prying eyes, we also question as to why we do what we do, wonder if adam if he was able to write, if he had peoms he himself would recite, love how you express your self thanks for the poems your write. Brilliant Poem, written with wisdom, talent and finesse.
It's written in a way as if these thoughts of life have always been their.
When guidance is sought some would say all you have is ask.
While not all the answers will be given.
Some must be discovered, after a due given search.
To give up, is to admit living was a lie.
What is the one thing we all seek and try to defy?
    That we will eventually die.
We have our blessings and our curses.
A voodoo doll, or miracle is not needed.
A continuation of all things large and small.
Looking through a rose covered glass ball.
A layer is peeled to only be repeated.
    With history forever synced.
A musical with the same beat.
It's importance is not yet really seen. (Report) Reply

This poem must be your anthem as it is a testimony of your exploration of the world through verse. I personally believe this quest is not only for the destination but also about the journey itself. I like your style and please keep on breathing life into words! (Report) Reply
