Security Blanket Poem by Melody Stargaze

Security Blanket

It is a small, metalic thing
But it is my security blanket.
You wouldn't think that this ring,
Would tear me up since I've lost it.

You asked for my hand in marriage with this silver ring,
And I told you I'd be by your side for good,
But I lost the tiny thing
If I could go back to where I lost it, I would.

But I lost it at Gram's funeral in the church,
Sort of ironic if you think about it.
It would just take forever to search
For that ring, so I guess I'll take the hit.

But that small, metalic ring
Is my security blanket.
Oh yes, you wouldn't think that this thing
Would tear me up since I've lost it.
