Secrets Of The Faerie Realm Poem by R K Summers

Secrets Of The Faerie Realm

After dusk has fallen down
Red sky shadows all
Echoes of twilight beckon

Waterfalls and deepening forests
Evening spirits sing sweet

Kindred spirits
Into the glistening masquerade
Never ending music and
Deathless dances

Over the hills, far away, child
Running with horses and beasts of the wild

A faerie grotto lies in wait
Restless with glittering eyes
Every sight a watchful gaze

Wistful memories draw them near
Eternity under the stars

Vanish beyond the veil
Incandescence sparkles the night
Crackling fire burns lower and lower
Into embers left behind
Oh, how we wish to stay forever!
Under the paling sky
Stars weep for us

Are we kind or are we vicious?
