Secrets Poem by Haley Nicole

Secrets

Rating: 5.0

I've traveled down very dark and scary roads
I've made too many bad choices, some may know
I've crawled into the deep dark places of my mind
all the while screaming to be let go

I keep these secrets locked in my heart
Others are oblivious to the things I am hiding
Nobody knows what I am truly feeling
There is no one alive in which I feel comfortable confiding

The only thing I can do is to hold on to my secrets
Hide and hold on to them with everything inside of me
My secrets are the chains that bind my wrists
I scream and I cry to please set me free.....

That's a very thought provoking poem. It's inspiring me to start writing more poems again, I've only submitted one to this website, but now more should be arriving! Thank you.
