Second By Second Poem by Mackenzie Myles

Second By Second

Nothing is as both painful and addicting as the wait

Endless hours of waiting, endless pain in my heart.

Yet I keep waiting.

I don't know what it is I'm waiting for.

Yet I keep waiting.

And as much as it burns my soul,

I can't stop.

I Keep waiting.

Maybe it's because I know you're worth it.

Worth the endless hours of waiting.

The worst part is, it doesn't matter how long you take,

for I will stop time until the day you return.

Because time itself is meaningless with you,

You are my clock, and I will sit here and wait.

Until your hands tick once again.
