Seattle's Pike Place Public Market Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

Seattle's Pike Place Public Market

Endless is the list of things its sells
Oh, here are a few that memory tells

Tangy oranges and tasty apples,
Berries, cherries, fruits for our grapples

Cuttings of lovely colourful flowers
Always special for sweet young lovers

Beef, meat, sweetbreads and poultry treats
Seafoods galore that gourmet's taste meets

Nuts and spices, pickles and fine wines
And all those special foods that one dines

Cakes and pastas, chocolates and ice creams
And all those sweets to eat that one dreams.

Cream and milk, cheese, jam and butter
Dried fruits that make our health better

Crafts market very creative outlet
Where fine arts with skilled crafts often met

Explore, enjoy, immerse in sheer delight
While shopping pleasure reaches its height!
