(((Seascape Longing))) Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

(((Seascape Longing)))

Rating: 3.9

Even though our block is larger now
We still relish the sand to the concrete
Skyscraper ways and bustling days
Leave us feeling, somehow, incomplete
The rhapsody of the shore beckons to us
The azure blue sea bids us to come
Palm trees wave at us in the gentle breeze
Tropical warmth summons from the sun
Lazy days of we beach combers arrive
Steeped in divine harmony thats only just begun
A most welcome repose for many and elusive rose
Far away from the concrete jungle-we run
Nestled 'neath the palm fronds shade
Comfey and cozy 'neath their home tree
Sun peeks through-from sky of cobalt blue
At last-my darling-'tis just you and me
