Search Begins!
I never appreciated myself for what I was and for what I am...
I just went on searching myself in others eyes.
Others cloudy eyes cannot be a mirror for me.
Others cloudy thoughts are reflected in their eyes.
Then how can those eyes be mirror of my life?
Only my soul is mirror of my life.
Once I had a long beautiful hair
I cut it short to look beautiful in others eyes.
Today I realised the fact
I never appreciated for I was blessed with.
My eyes were looking myself through others eyes.
I never felt proud of it.
I just cursed myself for it,
As others eyes never appreciated me.
Today many things I realised
Only I know what I am.
No one can judge me or see me, except me
It took years to realise
May be time teaches one.
Finally realised
My Happiness and my sadness
My weakness and my strength
My beauty and my ugliness
Everything resides in me,
In my soul.
Everything I was bestowed with
But never appreciated for it.
I was a fool to search myself in this illusion world!
Better late than never I can see myself in my soul of mirror.

This is a sort.of discovery, a kind of enlightenment. Why to look at the world or to judge ourselves through the eyes of others. Let there be a self realization. Straight from the heart poem 10/10.

a beautiful write............. Unjust criticism should be dumped at every cost..... .......people's views are often guided by jealousy and envy............. .......Its good to be nice in your own eyes..... I invite you to read my poems.....
A very solid realization.... Looking for others approval is foolish... Their likes and dislikes are often coloured by prejudices and shadowed by jealousy... So don't crave too much for others recognition and praise... Try to satisfy oneself first and foremost and look within... Find areas where we need correction and willingly submit ourselves for change... Love others without expecting much in return....! Yes, Geetha, better late than never! Beautiful write!
