Sealed Poem by Valerie Dohren

Sealed

Rating: 4.8

Don't break the seal upon my lips,
I won't reveal my mind -
The dreams I hold within my heart
Will there remain confined.

No words shall now betray my thoughts,
I will not set them loose,
For silence has subdued my voice -
Of words, I have no use.

A silence lingers in my mind,
A darkness in my soul -
I'll no more speak of dreams I hold
Within that deep black hole.

The dreams I hold within my heart Will there remain confined Dreams are for one to hold on to oneself. Maybe revealing to others results in a negative effect. A great message delivered. Thank you.

Such an emotional and heart-wrenching poem, filled with the intrepid silence of loss. Totally feel the need to keep silent and not express the agony of the heart for it may overcome the mind with it's sorrow. Very intense and beautiful poem, Valerie. Another 10 - 10's for this precious rendition of the darkness of the soul. RoseAnn

The silence in your mind is waiting to be filled, Your heart must shine again, not for romance but just to love living again

Even in the frozen silence the agony of soul reverberates. How can the 'rumblings within' of a poet like Valerie remain confined.

Our dreams Val, whether we want to keep them as precious secrets or to share them as precious gems, are among the most precious things we have. Keep them for a while, write them down in your own secret place. As usual, Val, give some space to your sadness. We do not have to like our sadness, just accept it to be there and watch. If we give it space it will move and one time it will move on. Keep the wonderful touching poems coming. Seal your lips for a while but please never seal your pen.
