Scroll 1 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Scroll 1

Rating: 4.5

splendor of sun was just starting
to shine the Pyramid's darkest chambers
love we are about to search
it now has its own masked warriors

this would not be a righteous destination
for adventuring in a state of peace
looking thousand years older
than it had the time before

I give you at least a last chance
so that you would not disappear
without realizing how much I had love you

despite all those walls
I felt an irresistible passion
to face day with you forever

we could share what we had left locked
and do everything right that
we had done wrongly yesterday

a solo oboe
was serenading Winter nights
singing the same ballade
again and again

each note was an act of grateful
for the moments stolen from the heart
the melody carried as deep as it had to
and achieved a supernatural resonance

(dedicated to a poet friend at poemhunter, Kuji Soliman)

Very Beautiful Love Story... And The Setting Is Awesome... The Pyramid (Oh! Yes) ... And The Mornful Sound of a Lone Oboe... The Atmosphere was set for Romance! ... Nicely Done Ahmad... Great Write... MoonBee
