Scorching Heat Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

Scorching Heat

Rating: 5.0

"This scorching heat
of Abu Dhabi
where leaves sways silently
from the distance
and dusts spins
across the deserted plains
and the few things
I have with me
aside from my PPE
are my writing notes
a jug of water
and some baked bread
with the heat of the sun
at it's peak
I have to seek shelter
hide and understand
that the only left
for me to do
is wait for the coming dusk
and watch for
the return of the moon."
