School Poem by John Schultz

School

When you said we were going to be doing this I though great another stupid project
But as we walked one by one I really didn’t mind it
I looked at the school as a different place then I ever have before
The hallways empty the kids in class all you hear is us walking
kids writing stuff down as we go not wanting to forget a thing
When we go out side every one looks at us thinking what we are doing
Wishing that they could come with us
We walk around the building, as the birds are chirping
A nice warm day which i could stay rite here but I cant
Then We come back inside it is cold and the kids in the class rooms are getting restless
There is only a couple of minutes left in the period
I really don’t want the period to end and go back to that hectic hall way
That before was so nice before
Why cant we all just stay here and do it all again next period
