Scenic Underworld Contrasts Poem by Terence George Craddock

Scenic Underworld Contrasts

Rating: 5.0

scenic tours
are easy
for me now

underworld
has many
responsibilities

new experiences
of customers
in tight wetsuits

first caves
confining spaces
tube trains

linked to others
as friends strangers
as they are prepared

to float
in darkness
into a cavern

of glow
worm
galaxies;

then
an ever
changing river

some
lacking water
skills

always
watching
to act

is ever
new mixtures
of emotion

actually
the camera
is a problem

sometimes
slipping
within its

water
proof
case;

A penetrating glimpse of the underworld, which reminded me of Waitomo Caves. Good ending with the camera.
