Scattered Shards Poem by Heather Burns

Scattered Shards

Rating: 4.3

Looking
in the
distance
suddenly
a star
appeared

Revealing
a face
so familiar
a face of
yesteryear

It burst
into a
million
pieces

Scattering
shards
through
out the
universe

Impossible
to retrieve
until this
day

One
small
piece
remains
missing.

A thoughtful poem, is the missing piece is hidden in our hearts, or it is the heart itself.
