Scars In The Dark Poem by Heather Marie Allens

Scars In The Dark

Rating: 5.0

i don't have much to say
that i can spell out for you to read
i don't know where to turn
and i continue to bleed.
i bleed it out to stop the pain
to quiet all the noise
praying that i may forget
the hook ups, set ups, and ploys.
its starting to scar
cause the wound is so old.
it may never heal completely
despite what i've been told.
yeah i care too much
and i continue to pay the price
but what can you do
if thats how we roll the dice...
i live only to see your smile
the way you do at me
i'm clinging on to hope
but hope for what i've yet to see.
i'm happy cause you're near me
but dying because i can't leave
i tried to tell you this before
you are the reason that i breathe.
