Scarlett Letter Poem by Silence Dogood

Scarlett Letter

Rating: 5.0

I dip the quill in the stirred up ink.
Writting a last goodbye to those I love.
I sighn my name in cursive writting.
And give myself a new begining.
***
I saw you for the first time today.
I looked in your eyes.
But you turned away.
You didnt want to see me.

But only tommorow did you pass that note.
Everyone looked trying to see.
But only I knew what you wrote.
You smiled a smile so incredibly handsome.

I met you at the place outside of town.
You said get in the car.
I shrugged with a frown.
You drove faraway; out of the world.

You opened the car told me to get out.
You kissed my lips hugrily.
I wanted to scream and shout.
Your hands caressed my cheeks.

In the shade of the trees you kissed my lips.
Undoing my clothes and throwing them to the ground.
This wasnt a fling or a small little blip.
It was love in motion.

Thats what happened every day on.
You drove me to that place.
And we played our favourite song.
We new every word; every single touch.

It was heaven it was bliss untill daddy found out.
He slammed the door with a horrified face.
He balled up his hands opened his mouth to shout.
He banished you away told you to stay away from me.

I cried myself to sleep that night.
I, knew what we did was wrong.
But it felt so right.
And now my life is over.

I took the beautiful knife.
Drove it through my heart.
I ended my life.
The pain and the sorrow gone.
***
I slip the note in my hand.
As my last goodbye.
I hoped he would find it.
And pay the same price.
