Scarlet Letter Poem by jillian conway

Scarlet Letter

She writes in scarlet blood on the mirrors around her,
'i don't wanna be here i wanna be heard'
The writing remains as a memory of her.
He explodes scarlet-red on the walls closing on him.
'i'm suffocating on my own words, can't you hear my screams! '
The words are scarlet and fading as the memory of him.
She drowns in scarlet water above is the pain.
'i never wanted to be a monster i just wanted to be seen.'
The scarlet stains the porcelain tub as the people move on.
They all write in scarlet blades on their arms.
'we were never good enough, we wanted help, but no one gave.'
The scarlet stays as a memory of the past, but the blades around them are gone.
