Saying Goodbye Poem by Myanna Williams

Saying Goodbye

I knew it was time to say goodbye, when our storm came you left at the first sight of the rain. You left me sitting here to deal with the pain. Then all of a sudden as the pain started to ease, you came back like a breeze. What you did not know was that I began a new, a new life, a new me and happiness without you. I know that someday you are going to miss me, but it will be too late for us to be. You never knew what you had, but I bet now you do because you are texting me saying baby I love you. Whatever we had is now in the past, after everything you put me through I am so happy to be rid of you. But if you ever wonder why we are through, just look in the mirror it is all because of you. I hope one day you learn from your mistakes and when you meet that special girl, you do whatever it takes. Just know that I could never hate you, but just so you know I am so happy without you.
