Save Your Soul Poem by Chris Jibero

Save Your Soul

Loneliness delivers monstrous boredom
A potent poison
That shreds the innards in guided instalments
And leaves the skin lacerated
In graded depreciation
The convener of evil thoughts and deeds
That spares not the judge and executioner
From being paid back in his own counterfeit coin
But its terminator is not far-fetched
Reject the ditch of care and worry
And do resurrect having shed the encumbering flesh
Make poetry your own sepulchre
And therein bury yourself alive without farewells
For thus shall you save your soul from suicide.
