Saul Is Struck Blind Poem by Doris Clore Demaree

Saul Is Struck Blind

Saul hated the people who believed
In Jesus.
Saul imprisoned the people who believed
In Jesus.
Saul punished the people who believe
In Jesus.

To save their lives
The people fled.
Saul hunted them down
He wanted them dead.

As Saul traveled towards Damascus wall,
A great light shone till it blinded Saul.
He fell to the ground and heard a call,
'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?'
'Lord, what shall I do?' he begged. 'Tell me!'
Saul now believed in Jesus, you see.
