Satin Glass Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Satin Glass

Rating: 5.0

The night fills with dimmed hues and unforeseen surprises
Opalescent moonbeams dance lightly on rippling streams
Opaque curtains of solitude surround before sight realizes
Transforming summer splendor into a muted rush of dreams

An illusive door swings open as thoughts from the past
Surface and slowly trickle into a semiconscious zone
Images appear from the smooth surface of satin glass
Silhouettes startle as they emerge from the unknown

Hovering in the stillness of my mind with feathered wings
Entering the room… grasping each breath with its span
Binding tightly to exhausted memories with invisible strings…
Weighted eyelids beg to open and see morning light again

The murkiness of semi-sleep is a very strange. Fascinating poem, Theresa. I like it. '10! ' Best Wishes, Marilyn
