Sartorial Style Poem by William F Dougherty

Sartorial Style

Rating: 5.0

I shall wear my heart upon my sleeve
For daws to peck at. —Shakespeare.

By rare professorial leave
Does any verse get into print
With half a heart upon its sleeve
For daws or dons to peck to lint.
A poet's bold (or just naïve)
To show even a sleeve upon a sleeve.
