Something small beneath the tree, to round off a great year

Yes, I set my standards high, and worked very hard
Shared a little with my neighbours, kept faith with all I love

Christmas to New Year, my favourite time of the year
Everyone's mood is caring and sharing, giving, hope, believing …
All round the world, Santa's slay is working hard tonight
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year
