Sanity Poem by Sarrah Ibrahim

Sanity

As the light is flicked to conclude a day,
the darkness engulfs all the efforts
to maintain a smile for the polite way,
We lose our senses, let 'em fly as it may
Bite those newly polished nails away.

As the light is flicked to conclude the day,
the mind wanders into maybe's',
could be's',
would be's',
& hope to be's'.

As the light is flicked to conclude the day,
our fears glistens in the darkness..
Blinding us from seeing reality,
Dazzles our senses, losing its sanity
Shames self at its vanity,

As the light is flicked to conclude a day,
we sometimes find that candle within;
engulfing the darkness and its insanity.
