samantha was playing
in her yard with a friend
when a strange man came
and took her away

she was raped
beatened upside the head
and he pressed on her chest
untill her last breath was forced
from her lungs

a 5-year-old girl
with curly blond hair
was found by the police
nude by an old oak tree

her obducter was found
and sentenced to die
but that still won't bring samantha back
a 5-year-old child
who've been taken
just a little too soon
