Salute To Sumita - My Friend Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Salute To Sumita - My Friend

Rating: 4.0

It hurts, your silent au revoir
Purged by Jet fuel fire
White intense light un-seared
Blessed soul so divine
Lady of deep blue skies
unblemished love seeds we sowed
In youth, far in our past
took deep roots, of friendship
Growing warm intense
coursing bonds of lasting strength
through our twined veins
so when destiny without notice
winged your soul to higher domains
it came with the wrench
the ripping of a million bolts
attachments strongly held in my heart
My gasp, ripples from my heart
like a never ending earthquake
scoring a million on the ritcher
pulling away of invisible energy
physical I felt the love chains
Stretched taut, then break into infinity
the crushing weight on my breasts
like thousands of elephants
trampling on my torn chest
like the tidal wave sweeping
over my mind's golden beach
gone my narrow stretch of sanity
in the ocean of despair and loss!
You know, I will hold on
to the ripped chords fiercely
as it cuts into my veins
till my last breath
like our wild friendship
we defended all these years

You know, no matter this fate

You will trawl in my dreams

whispering wild adventures

Destiny's child, I will never let go

I will stand here to Salute you

My friend, the bravest of all

the one who soared the skies

I will never say goodbye
