Salute Poem by Bing Hua

Salute

Salute

The air from the Wobo bridge
Fluttered the girl's fringes of hair
The scent of lilacs
Got the boy's jacket drunk

The two braids
like two buds,
Not yet in bloom, but were so charmingly beautiful,

In her green school bag
Was a red diary
Where there were two painted butterflies in flight

I would salute you deeply
If my bygone figure often
Flashes across your blue memory.

Note: Wobo Bridge refers to a bridge located in South Lake Park in Shenyang. China.
