Salt Poem by cassandra rainbolt

Salt

Rating: 5.0

She can't deny it
It's all her fault
The pain like a wound
Covered in salt

She lay on the floor
Thinking of you
Tears in her eyes
Realizing it's true

Her hands tremble
As she covers her ears
Still the noise penetrates
Proving right her fears

She can't deny it
It's all her fault
The pain like a wound
Covered in salt

Nothing can silence
His pain filled screams
Her mind slowly tearing apart
From the seams

Sudden silence
A slamming door
Tears, guilt, she hates herself
He deserves more

She can't deny it
It's all her fault
The pain like a wound
Covered in salt
